As the Americas governance and compliance leader for Saudi Arabian Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Edgar Fauteux focuses on governance and internal controls development for the company’s operations in North and South America. Mr. Fauteux accepted his current position with SABIC after spending two years as the head of North America financial reporting with the company. During that time, Edgar Fauteux managed more than 45 staff members and oversaw various fixed asset, accounting, and inventory activities for SABIC’s resins and compounding businesses.
Mr. Fauteux’s other career experience includes several years working in São Paulo, Brazil, with United Technologies Corporation (UTC). He was responsible for implementing internal controls and governance protocols for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for UTC subsidiaries across South America. Prior to this experience, he served as a Controller with the Barnes Group Inc., which was also located in Brazil. Mr. Fauteux earned his bachelor’s degree and master of business administration from the University of Massachusetts.
